Message from the bride and groom:
Michelle and I met in Columbus, MS while I was in pilot training with the Air Force. It was an unlikely pairing–her, the Mississippi native and sweet, Southern belle and me, the sarcastic, outdoorsy “yankee” from Washington state. After a year of friendship followed by a short period of dating I was off to my first assignment in Oklahoma City with the Air Force again, while she worked and explored the Big Apple. For five years we endured the trials of a long-distance relationship and deployments to the other side of the world. I couldn’t be happier to finally be with my Mississippi Queen and best friend for good!
We are so excited to have these photographs and works of art as keepsakes to share with our family for years to come. Thank you so much for capturing the happiness of our day.

Message from the bride:
Curt and I met over eleven years ago in high school and became very close friends. We attended different colleges putting over a thousand miles between us, but remained close and eventually began a long distance relationship that took us through college and into the beginning of Curt’s career in the Marine Corps. After over five years of weekend visits, phone calls and emails, I moved to Florida to join Curt on his journey to become a C-130 pilot. The past eight and half years together have brought me more happiness than I could have imagined. Curt is the wittiest person I know and makes me laugh every single day. He is an unbelievable example of unconditional love. No matter what we have gone through, or will endure in the future, Curt is always by my side helping me find a way to smile. I have truly married my best friend and look forward to the laughter filled years we have ahead of us!
Having a photo shot with Tami was like spending time with a good old friend! She was so much fun and lighthearted. I got to laugh so so hard with my tears. I love how beautiful she is inside out! Here is a few images that from that beautiful windy afternoon!
Some thoughts from Miss Tami:
Hi. I’m Tami. I just finished my MBA degree at Whitworth University, and I love celebrating life’s milestone accomplishments. So I decided to do this one with some fun, professional pictures to go along with my diploma (and to give proud mom, dad, and grandparents a lovely updated Tami pic). Ifong asked me to write up a little about myself. So I got to thinking…who is Tami? After graduating from Western Washington University several years ago (I won’t date myself with an exact year!) I moved back to Spokane and started a professional career in financial services at a credit union. I LOVE the credit union philosophy and mission and have been blessed to be able to promote that mission to others in my various positions there. So that’s my 9 to 5 life, but then there’s my other artistic, travel-loving self. After college, I decided to dabble in music and found a friend in the cello. My mom is a violinist so I knew I wanted to migrate toward the stringed instruments, and the cello was just love at first site – and sound – for me. I’m also an avid seamstress – clothes and quilts being my favorite creative pursuits. I had a wonderful grandmother who spent countless hours teaching me this detailed craft. Let’s just say that when I was a child, my dolls had a very nice extensive wardrobe – and now I’ve moved on to clothes for myself! I also adore travel and learning about other cultures. So far I have had the privilege of living in France for an extended period and visiting sites including, London, Vienna, Salzburg, Paris, Berlin, Hawaii, and the WA and OR coast to name a few. I hope this list will continue growing throughout my lifetime. My other passion is reading – both for learning, and for fun. My personal book list is extensive. but a few of my favorites are The Tipping Point, Blink, Outliers, What Should I Do With my Life, Jane Eyre, Leaning on a Spider’s Web, Christy, The Millionaire Next Door…and of course that’s just the start. Well done documentaries and historical/foreign films also grab me. I’ve recently enjoyed The Young Victoria and Queen to Play. I’ve been told my friends and family that I’m a storyteller – about everything in life – I love to spin a yarn and I enjoy making people laugh. I think that laughter just runs in my family. So that’s me. I had a truly wonderful afternoon with Ifong out on the country roads shooting pictures, laughing, and enjoying ourselves. She is a gifted photographer and has a knack for getting to know people and bring them out of their shells. Thank you, Ifong, for such a wonderful experience. I hope I might find you again in the future to document and celebrate my life’s milestones that are still to come. ~Tami D.
