Jon and I met in December of 2007 when we both were visiting Bellingham for a holiday cocktail party at a mutual friends house. We hit it off and got each others phone numbers a few days later. Because I was in school at Washington State University and he was back on the other side of the mountains we didn’t get to see each other much, but we kept in touch with each other. When I moved back home in May of 2009 we started hanging out sporadically, then often, and then daily. Finally, in March of the following year we made our relationship official and we both could not have been happier. Two years later Jon proposed to me on a trip to Maui and we are getting married in May of 2013. I feel like the happiest girl in the world and am so lucky to be marrying such an amazing guy.
Our Love Story (from the amazing writer groom Tony):
It’s ironic how sometimes the smallest thing can change your life in such a drastic way. After all the time and effort we put into “doing big things” and “going somewhere”, more often than not we seem to find ourselves following the path that puzzle pieces itself together before our next foot can hit the ground.
For us, the small thing that paved the way for our future were these three simple words spoken by me on the most ordinary of mornings…”Good morning, Beautiful”.
After knowing Nichole for nearly four years, our relationship had been nothing but strictly military based. After the day I said good morning to her, our relationship would develop into something that Love itself would envy.
A short 42 days later, 10 days in Australia, 3 diamonds set in white gold, 2 trips around the world, and 1 answer of “Yes, yes, yes, a thousand times yes”, she would be my wife, my best friend, my most trusted confidant, my soul mate, and even my pain in the butt…but most importantly, my one and only.
We have God to thank for everything we have and where we are in life. We were able to find love, laughter, and the greatest friendship of all in a place where neither of us thought possible. And it’s a story the Grandkids will here time and time again!
Clint and Chrissy met at a wedding on July 12, 2008. At the reception of the wedding Clint noticed Chrissy sitting at her table without a date, so he decided to ask her dance. Chrissy quickly denied his advance with a sharp ‘No’ and went back to drinking her glass of wine. Clint was determined to get a dance, so he annoyingly persevered asking multiple times until Chrissy finally agreed. From that moment on Chrissy and Clint were inseparable. They ended up going out together downtown that same night with friends and Clint followed Chrissy like a puppy dog follows a snausage. At one point on that fateful night Clint even said to Chrissy “I could see myself marrying you”. As you all know, Clint’s vision became a reality.
Their first year together they had a long distance relationship while Clint was living in Grand Coulee. They spent almost every weekend together out at Grand Coulee going out on the water, fishing with Nic, talking walks down at the cove, and drinking Donnarita’s on the regular. They fell in love over that first year so Clint moved back to Spokane to be with Chrissy.
On July 11, 2010 (one day prior to a 2 year anniversary of the day the met) Clint and Chrissy were up at Priest Lake. Clint waited for the perfect time: the sun was setting, the beach was empty, and then he put his knee down in the sand to ask for Chrissy’s hand in marriage. Chrissy accepted his proposal and was she so happy she seemed to glow all night. The wedding was being planned for the summer of 2011 when a miracle halted the planning operation; a little Sophia Rose was being cooked in Chrissy’s oven. Sophia was born on August 25, 201, and Clint and Chrissy were wed on July 29, 2012…they will all live happily ever after.
