Phil and I met at the hospital when I was just starting my nursing career and he was in his intern year of Family Medicine Residency. We were both assigned the same patient in the hospital for about 2 weeks, so naturally we started noticing each other. Both of us were interested in the other person but were too nervous to do anything about it at first. The patient however, an elderly man who was not so nervous, had an agenda. Every time I entered the room the patient would casually mention how nice and handsome the doctor was and that I should talk to him. Little did I know he was doing the same thing to Phil when he entered the room. So naturally a time came when Phil and I both were in the room together and the patient so innocently mentioned “Did you know Lindsy was a gymnast,” which in turn made me turn beat red and high tail it out of the room as soon as I could. So eventually the patient was discharged from the hospital and Phil and I went along with our business as usual occasionally seeing each other in the halls but nothing more. A week later, however, the patinet was readmitted and assigned to Phil again. Once the patient saw who his Doctor was he immediately asked if he had asked me out yet. Phil contacted me and after our first date we became inseparable and best of friends and have only fallen more in love everyday of our journey together. Phil proposed to me along the Spokane River where his family was holding up big signs that read ‘Lindsy will you marry me’. I said yes of course! But don’t worry, we didn’t forget about our angel/matchmaker patient. He and his wife were able to attend our wedding and meet way too many of our family members and friends. I never believed it when people told me ‘when you know, you know’, but I am here to say they are right and fairy tales do exist, even right here in Spokane.
These pictures are an amazing example of what an artist ifong is…..can’t wait to see the rest of the photos…happy dad!

Beautiful photography of what looks to be a fun-filled wedding! And it gave me a glimpse of the happy bride and groom in addition to the special families from which they came.

Most artistically emotional capturing of a couple in love and about to commit to spend the rest of their lives together I have ever seen.
