Marcy & Ross At Glover Mansion

Can  I say they are so fabulous that I am falling in love with them!

Our Story;
A motivated Salon owner and stylist, quite the mover and shaker, Marcy always wanted someone to share her life with but sometimes strong women are well, in part ….strong willed, funny, loving to laugh, and enjoy the successes that trying new things brings in life. Never a dull moment when she is around! Marcy holds her family very close to her heart and considers it to be the most important thing in life. She was holding out for the right one, the right way and even more important someone just as strong that wanted to be in love with her more than themselves. Having been divorced, a skeptic puts it lightly. Someone was going to have to be extraordinarily confident in their self, what they want, extremely patient and be able to prove it.
An easy-going, likeable, diligent guy, Ross always wanted someone to share his life with, but felt his expectations for what he truly wanted may be a bit too high. The bachelor life was enjoyable to him, but there was always something missing. He knew what to avoid, but had a difficult time finding what he wanted. He wanted someone to trust, admire, respect and strives to enhance their life and others lives. Someone who can be self-sufficient yet open to the love and sharing of a relationship. These expectations are high and typically describe a truly unique and remarkable person.
It was a slow start. Sam, a longtime friend of Ross’s, was hired by Marcy at her salon. Marcy started joining Sam at trivia nights and other activities as their friendship grew. Little did anyone know, love would be in the air. Ross and Marcy didn’t “hit it off” right away or even speak to each other after meeting the first time. (Though she did think he was VERY handsome, which made her clammy from the start.) A few months passed, as different group outings arose, Ross and Marcy began to converse with each other more often. At the end of each outing, one of them would drop each of the group off, as they were always the last two or first two on the route. They found that they love to laugh, talk, and just spend time in each other’s presence. As time went on they continued to form a relationship stronger than just friends. She truly felt lucky he spent his time with her, even if it always ended up just talking in the car for endless hours. They never truly went on a “first date”. They planned it but it ended up never leaving the drive way, blissfully caught up in conversation the night was over before it began and those were the wonderfully beautifully moments that made friendship grow into crushes and crushes into love. Marcy knew she loved him for his patience, steadfastness, and being deeply committed man that wanted the same things in life she did. Didn’t hurt that her family really liked him too! Ross knew he loved her because of her strength; he admired her loyalty, passion, love of family and personal drive. In April 2013, Ross proposed to Marcy in a way they knew very well. He picked her up from the airport, returning from yet another business trip and they once again got caught up in conversation. They had been talking for over an hour which wasn’t uncommon for them outside her house and he asked. Surprised, elated and in love, she said “Yes” and the rest, as they say, is history.

Brenna & Justin at Camden Ranch in Elk WA

The Day I Gave My Heart Away.

It was a clear blue sky day, and now looking back it was very clear. It was one of those days where you wakeup and somthing feels different, magical, special and amazing. I didn’t know it at the time but this was going to be one of the best days of my life.
On this particular day I was already excited. My friend Big T and I were going to a Static X concert and naturally we were already pumped up. Finally half way through this special day it was time to head to the show. Pumped and ready we jumped into my car. Big T was driving and I was in the passenger seat playing DJ. As we pulled out of the driveway and were jamming the band Static X as loud as we could and started driving down the street. As we came to a stop we saw two girls walking down the road. “STOP!” I said to Big T, “pull up to these girls! I know one of them, let’s go talk”. So T and I rolled up to them, music pumping, dressed and acting as cool as we could be. The funny thing was as we were pulling up, it wasn’t the girl I knew that I was interested in; it was this cute little blonde haired girl that I didn’t know. So anyways as cool as we could be, music still jamming loud and the car parked half way in the street I rolled down my window. Confidence at a ten I looked at the girl I knew and said ” wassup girl? who’s your friend?” She replied that’s my friend Brenna. So I leaned out the window and tilted my sun glasses down a little bit and said “Daaaaang tell her I said hello and to gimme a call sometime”. Now you might be saying to yourself so? But the thing is when you roll up and have an instant crush on a girl, look at her freind and ask her what her friends name is, it’s going to get their attention; and maybe not in the right way, but you’re gonna get it. Not saying much more we said later, and sped off fast with the music blasting loud once more.
Now here’s where for me somthing was different. As the party ravished on, Static X on stage, sold out concert, mosh pit going crazy, kids flying over the crowd, girls everywhere music so loud you can’t even think and there I was alone in the middle of two thousand crazy kids thinking about this blonde haired angle I met earlier that day. As the night went on and even in the next couple days I could not stop thinking about this girl Brenna. I remembered her name too because I thought it was as beautiful as she was. I was hooked. I had to find out more about this girl and I was going to. So to start the process of finding this beauty I first went to her friends house of course. She wasn’t there so I wrote a flirtatious letter saying that if she saw Brenna to tell her I said hi and to come over sometime. So over the next week or so I would breifley run into to her and just couldn’t seem to be able to get a moment of her time. It was driving me nuts because I had still had that same butterfly feeling in my stomach as I did that first day I saw her!
Days have gone by now and I finally catch my first break! As I’m in my daily lazy clothes eating a jar of pickles standing in the kitchen with my hair not combed I get a knock at the door. So I nonchalantly walked over to the glass sliding door and pulled back the curtain and BOOM! There to my surprise was the Neibor girl and her cute friend Brenna. My heart raced as I opened the door. One because I was not in cool clothes and was also eating pickles out of the jar with my hands, and Two because it was the girl who I had been planning the rest of my life with without even knowing her. I calmed down and opened the door. I remember very well. She was wearing flip flops, blue cut off shorts with a little palm tree on them and a white shirt. She was so cute. I let them in and from there we just started talking. We talked for hours, and hours and then we started eating lol. We ate a lot. We ate pickles from the jar, yah from the jar I know, it was perfect. In Fact it was to perfect because she never left. I mean she never left, ever! Brenna over that first night had stole my heart. I was in love and I knew it, I really really knew it and yes if your wondering, I do believe in love at first site. So over the next few years we had so much fun. We traveled we ate good food, camped and just plain had fun.
Well that was 9 years ago. We recently got married after I wrote in a three acre grass field,”WILL U MARRY ME”50 feet wide by a 100 ft long and then flew her over in a helicopter to propose to her. She looked at me as we were flying above the field, crying she said YES. It was awesome.
We are now married and the wedding was the best day of my life. So you see, that day WAS magical, special and amazing. It was

The Day I Gave My Heart Away.

I love you Brenna Glenn always and forever.

Maureen & Scott at Bing Theater & Knitting Factory

Family has always been important to Scott and me; aside from it being the first day of summer, we picked the date of June 21st for our big day so that we could share my parents’ joy as they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. My dad got to spend Fathers’ Day with both of his daughters for the first time in years! Scott’s brother was his best man and my sister did double duty as our officiant and as a bridesmaid. My engagement ring is a combination of our families using diamonds from my grandmother and Scott’s mother; both passed away in 2013 so it’s a bittersweet reminder of these two amazingly strong women. In planning our wedding, Scott and I wanted two different-feeling experiences for the ceremony and reception. Our ceremony was personal, heartfelt, and a little whimsical with huge purple balloons lining the aisles and non-traditional music. Scott and I wrote (and cried through) our own vows and chose to incorporate a traditional handfasting to symbolize our union.

We worked together to make our invitations really set the stage for our day. The theme I was going for was “urban purple glam” and the Knitting Factory was a perfect venue for us as they really put the time and effort into making the space look exactly like we wanted. It was amazing to see the vision I had in my head translated into real life, not to mention the fact that we were able to celebrate the day with so many close friends and family (some of whom traveled long distances to be with us). Being an artist at heart, I made a lot of the details including chalkboard signage, a monogram art piece, a huge wall quote and a paper chain link installation behind our sweetheart table. We dined on short ribs and salmon, drank some awesome craft beer (among other things) and danced the night away as Eclectic Approach put on a fantastic show for us!

We owe a huge debt of gratitude to some of the best vendors Spokane has to offer. Everything from flowers to desserts to wedding coordination to (obviously) photography was phenomenal and many of our professional relationships turned into friendships. The marquee outside the Bing said “best day ever!” and it definitely was. Scott and I are so thankful for everyone who put their time, effort, and energy into making our day so special and full of love.

Brigette & Jason At St Aloysius Church and Spokane club

Our Love Story
Jason and Brigette met in high school in 2006 and immediately realized the many interests that they shared. Their friendship began sophomore year of high school but they began dating their senior year of high school in 2009. They’ve always shared a love for sports. While they were classmates in the same PE class and participants of track, they became very close.
More important was how much friends and family mean to them both. They frequently attended friend and family gatherings and have worked together with friends and family on jobs and projects. They have always felt a strong importance to spend time with friends and family. Jason felt like Brigette and her family were the right fit for him over time and after attending a family reunion and meeting extended family members in Montana, he truly felt connected to the family. They both have always felt at home with each other and in their families.
Jason asked Brigette to marry him in the summer of 2013 not long after the family reunion. She instantly knew it felt right and said “Yes”. During their long two year engagement, Jason finished school and got a job while Brigette went back to school across the state. Even though apart, they continually grew closer. Their friendship and love for one another continues to grow each day and they are so excited to see what the future holds for them in their lives together.
