Our love story has always begun and continues to run on extraordinary timing. We met originally in school, both sitting at the only left hand desks in the room. Slowly, our conversations grew longer as well as time spent together. In the Fall of 2012, our timing couldn’t have been more perfect as we both were taking classes at Washington State University, and living a cozy life of cheap college food and dates. When I attended nursing school up north, Daniel got a job an hour away to keep close. When Daniel accepted his first police officer position, I packed up my scrubs and stethoscope, and we moved to Pullman, the little town we had first met in. Both our jobs leave us on the night shift, playing board games and grocery shopping at 3AM. He is the best part of my life and I adore our every adventure together. We share the same sense of humor and delight in raising our beloved little cat, Phoebe. Though our timing may be set to a different tune throughout our lifetime, I will always be grateful for every second of every day that we have together.

I had just moved to Idaho, ready to start my new life away from California. I was a little anxious and excited to start back at school in a place I had never been and where faces weren’t familiar. Although I was faced with fears, I knew that this chapter in my life had great opportunity to learn and grow.
My last semester in Idaho arrived, but all I could think about was moving onto another school. At the last minute my schedule changed, and I found myself taking the last seat in a chemistry class.
On the first day of chemistry class I was running late (as always: Jessica), but before I sat down I scanned the room to find the cutest girl in the class. I took a seat right across from Jessica, in hopes of having her as my lab partner throughout the semester.
Class began and our instructor informed us that we needed to pick a person to be our lab partner throughout the semester. Before I could even look around, Cameron came around the table and asked me if I would be his partner. Little did I know, this moment was the start of a relationship that would change my life forever.
After a few weeks I began to realize that Jessica was different, she was everything I was looking for in a woman and more than I could imagine. It’s funny how right when you’re about to give up God gives you an amazing blessing. I started to get this feeling in my bones and I knew we had some amazing potential and soon I fell in love with the beauty of her character, her loving heart, her dedication to her passions and mine, her willingness to try or go on any adventure, and her unwavering love. Jessica brings out the best in me and she has shown me things I had no idea I had. I know she will always stand by my side through the crazy adventures, the toughest days, and the greatest moments. She has given me the most precious thing she has, her love and I will cherish it for the rest of my days, she is truly the love of my life and I’m so excited to share her with the world.
Since the beginning, Cameron and I built our relationship in a way that was different for the both of us. We were two friends that challenged one another, and fell madly in love with each other. You see Cameron was different than any other guy that I had met before. He was a true gentleman that held the door open for me, he didn’t try to put “all the right moves on me,” he waited and then asked if he could kiss me (and got rejected the first couple of times), and he truly respected me. I fell in love with his charm, good looks, intelligence, and his adventurous spirit. Cameron has challenged me to do things that I have never done before and he truly brings out the best in me. When I moved up to Idaho, I had no intentions of getting into a relationship, but Cameron was my unexpected surprise and I am so glad that God has brought him into my life. I cannot believe how lucky I am. I look forward to this crazy journey called life, because I know that I have Cameron by my side to catch me when I fall and laugh with me through the joyous of times.

When Willie I met we were both working full time. Me, Megan, a nurse- working odd shifts, and Willie, a survival instructor spending a lot of time in the field. Getting out with friends was hard but meeting new people and potential dates seemed to be impossible. We both found ourselves on a dating website to see if we would have better luck. I came across Willie’s profile where the only comment he wrote, besides the usual body type, likes/dislikes, profession etc., read “I find clumsy girls endearing”. The moment I read this I knew I needed to meet him. We decided to meet at The Elk where I talked non-stop thanks to the nerves while Willie smiled and listened. We had so much in common, our sense of humor, passion for living life to the fullest, laid back personalities and especially our love for our friends and family.
Days, weeks and months went by and the pieces began to fall into place. Friends approved enthusiastically, families adored; our lives seemed to come together with ease.
After about two years of dating Willie proposed to me in our living room with the help of our, then-two-month-old, puppy, Rue. It was a crisp, bright October morning. We were on the couch drinking coffee. Willie asked me if I would adjust Rue’s collar, telling me “it seemed tight?” I, not being a morning person and only a few sips into my cup of coffee, rolled my eyes and mumbled under my breath, “Why can’t you do it?” I grumpily unhooked her collar and the ring fell right into my hand. He got down on one knee, in the dog bed, and proposed. I said yes. It was perfect.

Kyleigh is the woman I never believed I deserved, but always knew I needed – so that Friday night, when I had the chance to propose, it just had to be perfect.
To start – On our first date, SHE asked ME out…
…well, sort of.
Her email: “I have an extra ticket to a show downtown and my friend can’t go. Would you like to go with me?” She asked me to accompany her to a show at the Bing Crosby Theater, in downtown Spokane. I later found out that there was no ‘friend’ who couldn’t go, it was for me all along (tricky!). A Portland-born cavalcade, ‘The Wanderlust Circus’, stars definitive Ringmaster, Noah Mickens, as the leader of a steam-punk’d troupe full of talented dancers, comedic moments, acrobatic oddities and exciting music in a majestic theater. Having asked me as a ‘friend’, neither one of us were quite certain it was a date, but by the time it was over, I knew I just had to see her again.
As a traveling consultant, living in St. Louis, MO, I was working here in this new and beautiful city, Spokane, WA. It wasn’t long before I came to realize that the atmosphere was very different here. When Kyleigh became part of the story, I quickly knew, although my job here was for a short instance, my time in this place would be life-changing. Less than three months after that seven-week project ended, I had packed up my entire life in St. Louis and moved to the Pacific Northwest. Kyleigh moved in soon after.
Fast-forward 15 months, a few career changes, two cats (sooo cute!!), a beautiful new home in our future; a growing love for each other – and yes, a lovely new custom engagement ring, It was evident that I wanted to marry her. Now I just had to figure out how to propose.
The first week of October, 2015, Kyleigh’s friend, Siobhan, got involved, and as it happens, was key in pulling it all off. Her suggestion: she would take Kyleigh out for a ‘girls night’; then I had to figure out where this grand surprise should occur. Just a few days before the event was to happen, I figured it out; what came to mind was a epiphany – and I never imagined it could work so perfectly.
My revelation: Go back to the beginning!
The Bing Crosby Theater is normally busy every night, especially on the weekends – so how is it possible that, when I opened the calendar on their website, Friday night, October 9th, was wide-open? There was no show scheduled (I found out later that another show was cancelled). ‘Serendipity!’ I thought, ‘Why not just ask?’
After a few calls & a bit of schmoozing, I talked the owner of the Bing Crosby Theater into letting me rent the entire venue out for an hour on Friday night, with music playing & on-stage – a video projection playing collages I made from our past 15 months together – including those adorable cats.
Friday arrived and I had been working out of town all week (a minor fib perhaps, I returned Friday morning to put the plans in motion – she had no idea). Of course, Kyleigh had ‘plans’ Friday night to go out for a ‘Girls Night’ with Siobhan – or so she thought…
They stopped for a drink, and as Kyleigh and Siobhan left the bar, they crossed the street towards the Bing Crosby Theater…
…and as Kyleigh looked up, the grand marquis read:
FOR: NICK & KYLEIGH”
Tears began streaming down her face as she realized what was about to happen. Siobhan took Kyleigh by the hand and led her into the theater.
Frank Sinatra’s “I’ve Got a Crush on You” crooned throughout the Bing Theater’s Grand Hall as I stood there at the front, next to the stage, waiting in a suit and tie, cradling two dozen long-stem roses in my left arm and a beautiful engagement ring in my right pocket.
Kyleigh entered the theater. Her sobs were both nervous and happy as she walked down to greet me. Taking her hand, I led Kyleigh up the stairs, onto the stage. I stopped at mid-stage and turned to her; taking a quiet moment before I spoke. With her hands in mine, I expressed just how much I love her, how I cherish the moments we’ve spent together this past year and how I want to continue to live those moments, with her, the rest of my life.
Kneeling down, with my own tear-filled eyes, I gazed up at Kyleigh and spoke these words: “Kyleigh Buess, will you be my wife?”
Her answer: A happy-tears filled “Yes!”
In the same place, on that same stage, where The Wanderlust Circus inspired new romance, I became engaged to the woman I’ve dreamed of for so long. She has captivated me – my heart – completely.
One more thing: As another incredible element to this grand event, while planning the evening, I began to consider that people in Spokane, seeing the Bing’s marquis was changed to say something so different from the usual shows, they might want to know what’s going on. I got in touch with the newsroom at KHQ, the NBC affiliate in Spokane, to tell them why the sign would be so different – just to see what they thought Well, not only were they interested in the story, they sent a camera crew, filmed the entire event and put it on the 11:00 o’clock news!

I’ll forever remember the way she glowed as she appeared at the start of the aisle on our wedding day – she looked like a goddess. My eyes filled up with tears behind my glasses and I started trembling. It truly was the magical moment we had been waiting and planning for.
Kyleigh inspires me to be the man, and the husband I’ve always believed I could be. She’s my wild and wonderful dream come true. We had a beautiful, fun wedding and I’m so very lucky to be married to her!

“Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was a choice, but falling in love with you was beyond my control.” -Unknown
That quote is a perfect description of how I feel about my life with Craig. I met him randomly when I was out of town with a girlfriend. He had a great personality and seemed like a fun guy so we invited him to meet us out for dinner. Neither of us expected him to actually take us up on our offer, so when he did it was a pleasant surprise. While I didn’t think he was my type at the time, he is definitely my type now. My perfect match… my soul mate. Craig is the most kind, giving man I know and keeps me laughing on a daily basis. He quickly became my very best friend and even when our lives took different paths for a short while, we stayed close. I knew I needed him in my life and no one compared to the love I felt for him.
Craig proposed to me this past Christmas and I get to marry him in a few short months. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world because he can have anyone and yet he chooses me.

Tayler and I met a few summers ago. He was a friend of a friend that came to my parent’s lake place for the day. We didn’t interact a whole lot that night as I had to work the next morning and left early. Though not even a few days later he sent me a message on Facebook quizzing me about restaurants he’d like to visit but wanted my opinion (Real smooth!) We exchanged numbers a few days after that and then he began asking about a first date! I say began, because I wasn’t totally jumping on the idea and it took several weeks before we “found” a day that worked for the both of us. After that first date, I couldn’t believe that I had ever put him off. Tayler is the most lovable, understanding and magnetic man that I have ever encountered.
Fast forward a year and half I had a tripped planned to meet my parents in Maui for a week vacation. Tayler wasn’t able to go because of work, or so I thought! One of the days we planned to go snuba over at Molokini. It was an excursion that little did I know, kept me away from my phone and busy for most of the day. When we returned to the condo, my dad went to check out a local dive shop to see about taking a dive the very next day. I was told to be ready for dinner fairly early so that when my dad returned we could leave. He returned and about 10 minutes later and so did Tayler, on our patio, down on one knee. It’s been the best day of my life thus far and every day with him is sweeter than the last.
I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us!
